It is a week of more cleansing. Cleansing what? We need to remember that next week is Passover. I recommend study / reading / talking to your teacher so you focus more on what you need to be doing / thinking next week.
This week, remember we’re about to enter a great Light - “Light of greatness” – we need to remember that. We’re always focused on our smallness. We need to think big, bigger even than ourselves. We enter into a time this week when Kabbalists explain that we need to think about a concept – who is the Creator of this reality? Think from a parent’s point of view. How many kids really know who their parents are? How much does a son / daughter know a parent? Not much really. We don’t know them. Our kids don’t know us. We know the action that a person takes, that’s how we know a person, not by who he is. We judge by what they do, which can be for the good or bad. How do we judge the Creator so we know who he is? Obviously, as we learn in Kabbalah 1, we will always have a limited perception of who He is / what He is about which is why we study Kabbalah. Each one of us needs to think about this. What is the Creator about? How is His work? Like He is our parent so “who is our parent?” The second part of it – when we do spiritual work / acts of sharing / use the tools / go to class / go to Shabbat without knowing a little more about the Creator, those actions are religious actions. Religious actions are limited. It is like idol worshipping. We think the Light wants us to pray everyday / be good everyday and that might be good but it is only through our mind so it is limiting. When we think about the Creator within our own mind, we put limitations on the Creator / on what He gives.
Look at the universe / at nature – how amazing it is. Take the time to focus not only on what’s not ok but what is ok, what fascinates you. Think about unexplainable / illogical things – that’s where the Creator is hiding. In our minds, we want to think about the way things should be. That’s us not the Creator. Each one of us needs to have a real relationship with the Creator. Start to know Him. Any time you do any spiritual action this week, involve the Creator. Do it because when we come into Passover next week, we’ll only be thinking of ourselves and we don’t want that. We want to think about what the Light wants to share / what it’s all about.

Malul Call Mon 3/15/10 Chodesh tov
You know that tonight – actually from now – is the new moon of Aries. It is the beginning of the year. Try to participate in the New moon event to learn about the next twelve days. It will help you to tap into the energy to help you control the signs of the zodiac. There are many interesting things happening this week but I want to share something interesting from another speaker. The question to ask yourself before Passover: how the person you would like to be will do the things you are about to do.
We all need to know what we want to be and how we want to be. How would that person behave right now? This week, we’re entering into a new book that speaks about sacrifices, which Passover is about sacrificing (really of sacrificing my own ego). The idea of Vayikra – Creator calls Moses - if you take the letters of Vayikra is like mokir, which is appreciated. the Creator shared with Moshe how much he appreciated his work, the sacrifices that he made. Most of us don’t see / hear the Light telling us how we do because we want someone to tell us. If we sacrifice ourselves / our desire to receive for the self alone then we need to know, at that moment, the Light appreciates so much our willingness. Even if the words do not come down from heaven at that time. The idea is to sacrifice / to bring closer the Light into my life by sacrificing my desire to receive for the self alone. Kabbalists also explain that we would like our spiritual work to be permanent. Spiritual work can be two ways, for example, the beginner spiritual person does work in a temporary way which is like renting an apartment – you can always move. Now is the time, though, to BUY the apartment so I am living there. It’s the same way we would like to take our work and make it permanent. We make a decision to do work of sacrificing my desire to receive for the self alone not just for one week but permanently.
When we see the person we would like to be, see without the desire to receive for the self alone. How would that person be now in every area of my life? At the start of this year, it is important to know:
1. The Light is approaching Moshe for all the sacrifices he is doing – that is for us – whenever we sacrifice our desire to receive for the self alone, we can bring the Light closer to our lives. The Light appreciates me and respects me when I do so.
2. Any time I sacrifice my desire to receive for the self alone, don’t do it temporarily, do it permanently. Step by step but permanent change. Make a permanent decision to do it based upon the person I want to be in the future but do it now.
I encourage you to see Michael Berg’s lecture – learn the consciousness for this month.

VAYAK’HEL AND PEKUDEY
Last Shabbat we read the portion Ki Tisa which ended with Moses coming down from Mount Sinai with the second set of Tablets. The Tablets need a worthy place in which to be contained. The Tabernacle that was constructed before Moses first went up to Mount Sinai to receive the Tree of Life technology were not fit to hold the Tablets. The original Tabernacle was constructed with the consciousness of the Erav Rav.
In the portions Vayak’hel and Pekudey we again construct the Tabernacle according to the specifications in the portion by craftsmen who were pure channels. The people chosen for the construction of the second Tabernacle were chosen because they had an endless desire to receive and share.
On the face this is a story impossible to enjoy: re-reading all the details on how to construct the Tabernacle. The deeper meaning however is of great importance. Here we learn how to purify ourselves, reach our individual potentials, develop sensitivity, become a pure channel of the Light: Connect to the Light for an everlasting, endless, blessing for each and every one of us to bring to our families and extend to all of whom who come in contact with us. We learn how to endlessly maintain the blessings so we welcome all people who come into our presence with a smile on our faces. We desire to become that person others ALWAYS come to when they encounter an obstacle in their connection to the Light and require assistance, guidance. We also learn how to learn.
To accomplish this we studied Vayak’hel sections 61, 62, 96, 97, 180 and 223 of the Zohar. We then re-visited Ki Tisa section 54 and connected it to section 28 of Vayak’hel.
Section 61:
We need to be able to break the feelings of obligation and responsibility. Any time someone or something comes your way, learn to look upon the person or situation as a gift from the Creator, an opportunity for you to reveal Light. Never ever see things as an obligation, requirement or responsibility. See everything enthusiastically as an opportunity to grow and transform. Bring excitement to the situation because of the grand opportunity top reveal Light, not because you “have to,” but because of an endless desire to reveal Light.
What is transformation? How do you see the same person, whether it is your spouse, your children, your mother, your father, your boss, co-worker, etc. when you see them all the time? Do you always see them as the same from one day to another? Every time you see someone, you must see them as a new person. If you want to open doors in your lives, you must see the person as if that person is a new person each and every time you see them. The Ari, Isaac Luria, explained in his book of intentions every part of the second a completely different energy exists.
Every second a different energy, a different aspect of the Light, is revealed. This is the key to unlocking the door to your heart.
Satan is always there telling you that you have “been there, done that,” experienced this all before. Satan tells you that nothing is new, you have encountered this person, this same situation times before and it is nothing special, different. When you encounter the same problem over and over you are not transformed. It is all about your perception. When your perception is that everything is always new then you open the door to your heart to let in the Light.
The Ari explained that our job while living in the physical plane is to play the game, “hide and seek.” The Light hides as there are sparks of Light hidden all around us. We must find these sparks and elevate them. There are 320 sparks of Light available in the process of correcting your Tikun. When you have elevated 288 of those sparks you have reached the critical mass to experience heaven on earth: removal of death from your life and the experience of Messiah. Whenever you see something, someone as the same, you are missing the opportunity to elevate a spark of Light.
Only excitement can bring you to the consciousness required to see these sparks of Light and elevate them. Our brains are slaves to our senses. The five senses act as limitations. When you close your eyes there is nothing you cannot imagine. But when you open them, there is only limitation. The human being is the only entity in this reality that has the ability to elevate the sparks of Light. If you do not see every second of your life as “WOW,” then you are acting out of obligation, you are being religious, you never will be able to transform.
Section62:
We need to have compassion for others. The amount of compassion you have is an indicator as to how asleep we are as we live our lives, how much true attention we are paying to the world around us. Compassion is an active approach to life. When someone is going thru chaos and you do not feel their pain you are not connected. In order to communicate with that person, you must be able to feel their pain, understand and relate to what is going on with them. Only then can you assist them in elevating their sparks of Light. You must go outside of yourself, put yourself in their shoes to be of assistance. It is about them, not about you. You must beg from within to have the compassion to see thru their eyes and help them.
As easy as it comes, you can lose it in a second. A doctor’s job is to help people. How often do they feel compassion for their patients? How often do they see their patients as “cases” and not as individual human beings going thru the things they are going thru? How much can they really help? A man who had a massive heart attack when being released from the hospital was told by his doctor that he should not lift anything heavy. At the following Shabbat, the Rav knowing of the man’s condition, had him carry and sit holding the heaviest Torah. When the man went back to the doctor to arrange for his surgery the doctor was amazed. The man had no evidence whatsoever of having had a heart attack. True compassion using the tools can accomplish much more than an uncompassionate 1% solution.
Section 96:
This section discusses the potential journey of the soul after death of the physical body. These are the levels of cleansing the klipot from the soul to prepare the soul for its next incarnation in the physical world. The klipot, most of which are from this lifetime, can only be cleansed when the soul is not attached to the physical body. These are the laws of reincarnation. Our souls agreed to a bargain before incarnation. Our souls committed to do better than in the previous incarnations, a promise to grow and do better. If you are not growing, you are moving backwards. Everything in life needs to move forward. If a soul is not accomplishing the next level, not moving forward, then the soul leaves the physical body for cleansing before its next incarnation.
If a person comes into this world three times and does not change, then the soul can never come back. The soul only merits reincarnation if it demonstrates that progress and advancement are being made.
A soul can complete its correction in one lifetime. We need to wake up and study the levels of cleansing. We need to change, transform. Changes from fear are not real. There needs to be a true desire to change, transform for the change to be real. First is the ordeal of death where we go thru a tunnel to reach the Light. Second all the negative actions you created are paraded before you, not a pleasant experience. Third is when we enter the grave. Fourth is the ordeal of the grave. Fifth is the ordeal of worms eating the body which is very painful as a small part of the soul is still attached to the body. Sixth is the ordeal of hell. Seventh is the ordeal of the spirit, where the soul roams above the world without a resting place until its deeds are purified.
The goal of the Kabbalah Centre is to give everybody the tools to remove death, create immortality in an unlimited way. In the endless from which to soul starts and ends its journey everything exists in the same moment. There is no time between cause and effect. On the physical plane there is time between cause and effect for the chance for mercy to enter. We find excuses in this plain to say no to the Creator. In the endless there are no excuses. You feel the effect at the same time as the cause.
What is our free will? It is the choice we make to either give the sparks of Light to the klipot or to the soul. Why is pain cleansing? It pushes you forward from an uncomfortable place. The klipot prevent you from reaching the soul. It is the klipot that feel the pain. Pain is illusionary to the soul, it is only felt by the klipot. Anytime you have an argument, a career problem, a relationship problem and feel the pain, it is the klipot that feel the pain. The pain is an illusion to the soul.
Section 97:
King David lived exactly 70 years. Why? Adam lived for 930 years. King David was given the 70 years Adam needed to complete a millennium, 1,000 years. King David knew his purpose in life. King David appreciated every moment of every day and only slept 17 minutes a day. He made sure to stay in consciousness and felt the pressure to meet his expectations. Every moment was devoted to completing his Tikun. Our only obligation is to complete our Tikuns. When chaos takes over a person, you cannot reach them. They cannot be helped until the chaos stops. It is like a train. You cannot board or deplane the train between stations. You must wait until the train has reached a station.
Any time we are complaining we are creating more negativity, more negative angels. We are creating clouds of chaos that will eventually rain a painful rain upon us. We need to chose now not to fall into negativity. We must make the choice not to feed the klipot.
Section 180:
One of the most powerful tools we have is Shabbat, the 25 hours beginning with sunset on Friday night. It is the one time each week when there is freedom from Satan. Satan’s hold, the fear we feel, our anxieties all vanish during Shabbat. Satan resides in Malchut or Yesod to prevent us from connecting to the upper dimensions. On Shabbat we can reach the upper dimension of Binah, the eighth level. Drugs can also connect you to Binah, but in an unprotected way. With drugs, since you did not earn the elevation, you get burned from the short circuit. You need to build the proper vessel to receive the energy.
The Hebrew word Shabbat is spelled, “Shin, Bet, Tauf” The Shin is the Hebrew letter representing the three-column system, the three patriarchs. . The word spelled by “Bet, Tauf” is “Bat,” the Hebrew word for daughter. “The daughter is crowned by the Patriarchs” in order to draw down the energy from Binah, which is the same as the world to come. Each week we get a taste of the world to come so we know the feeling of being connected to Binah. We need to have that feeling so we know for which we strive. If we do not know how Binah feels we could not attempt to attain Binah during the rest of the week. To connect to the upper worlds you need to use the three-column system. Binah is a warehouse of energy. Connecting to Binah gives us a chance to recharge our soul without the interference of Satan.
It is a merit to know the true meaning and reason for Shabbat, an opportunity to connect to the higher worlds without Satan. If you do not use the gift then you lose it. Shabbat is universal. Shabbat is for everyone, not just Jewish people.
Section 223.
A tremendous tool we use to cleanse death from our lives is the Torah. Remember when we were discussing section 96 how the Rav used the power of the Torah to completely heal a diseased heart. When shabbat ends on Saturday night we should already begin to prepare for the following Shabbat. At Mount Sinai, where we received the Torah, there was no limitation, no death. The mutes could speak and the deaf could hear. There was immortality and no limitations from the physical plain. There was pure unity and love amongst all the people.
We need to decide to become a pure channel for the whole world. We can bring the consciousness of Sinai to our world today. Each week can take another step forward in removing death and pain and suffering from the world.
Our skeptical mind will seek the solution from the doctor in the 1% when the true answer is in the 99%. It is our consciousness as demonstrated by the Rav. We need to break the logical and receive the illogical.
Section 54 of Ki Tisa and Section 28 of Vayak’hel:
Section 54 is so important that we should constantly study its message. All the friends of Rabbi Shimon needed to have loved each other. When they did not love each other cause pain and suffering to themselves and thus the world. The lack of love amongst us can cause us to leave this world before our times.
Love and Light!
In the portions Vayak’hel and Pekudey we again construct the Tabernacle according to the specifications in the portion by craftsmen who were pure channels. The people chosen for the construction of the second Tabernacle were chosen because they had an endless desire to receive and share.

Mon 3/8/10 Malul Call
This week, know that in the spiritual process
of growing and transforming ourselves in
every aspect and moment of our lives, we are being tested. We're always
being tested. What does it mean "being tested"? Everything in our life is a test to see if our consciousness is in the right place. At work, with family, in our relationships, even with strangers.
Rav Ashlag takes this to the extreme level - which is not too extreme when
we think about it - by saying that in the moment that a person starts
his spiritual work, he starts the process of cleansing. Cleansing of
his desire to receive for the self alone. Rav Ashlag explains that there are four levels of desire as we all learn in
Kabbalah. These levels correspond to the four worlds: the world of Minerals, the world of
Vegetation, the world of Animals and the world of Human Beings.
Ultimately, the human desire to receive should be desire to receive
for the sake of sharing - a transformed desire to receive. Rav Ashlag
explains that the Animal has the desire to receive and only to receive. Vegetation has huge desire to share and very little
desire to receive. Minerals have a very small desire - no real desire, and Human Beings are considered to be the most elevated.
We need to be in a place that our desire to receive is being cleansed for the sake of
sharing. We know this week especially, we have the opportunity to
remove Erev Rav - the mixed multitude, the negativity from within.
What does this mean? It means that any time my desire to receive is
involved an action I am taking, I will need to go through
cleansing.
Cleansing occurs when we don’t pass the test of shifting our consciousness from the desire to receive for the self alone into the desire to share with others.
Rav Ashlag says that if you give the desire to
receive for the self alone energy, it is like scratching a rash on
your skin - it initially gives pleasure but if you continue scratching
it, it will become a wound and be painful. So once we give our desire
to receive energy, we get pleasure but eventually, it becomes a
sickness and painful.
This week, we have the opportunity to start cleansing our desire to
receive. Every time this selfish desire is involved in our actions and thoughts, and we don’t shift it, we will need to start all over again. Even if it seems or looks right, if my consciousness somehow was for my personal benefit, then I have to re-do it or the results will be limited. If the results don’t last or were not as we expected (in a negative way) somewhere in the process we had a selfish desire.
This week is like
building the second tabernacle (the first one was with people who had
desire to receive for the self alone so God told Moses to
build a new one) so we have the opportunity to re-build ourselves with
a new consciousness – for the sake of others.
We all have that rash that we want to
scratch but if we do, it might become something we do not like. This
week, we want to be able to start taking responsibility for our consciousness. If we cannot cleanse it and transform it in that moment, sometimes we just need to fall into in, fail the test – but learn from it.
If I cannot cleanse, then I fall but then I need to fix it.
This week, take responsibility for at least one action you can do
without selfish involvement. To what degree can you do it just for the
sake of sharing?
of growing and transforming ourselves in
every aspect and moment of our lives, we are being tested.

Mon 3/01/10 Malul Call
This past weekend we went into battle with Amalek. Now we need to
recover, which is what you do after war. Now we need a bit of
purification after the battle - fighting to be excited and happy each
day and, as much as we can, to eliminate ourselves / our "me"
consciousness.
This week is about purification for all the times we have been in
battle with the Opponent. Meaning, if you think you are pure, you are
not. If you think you are not pure, you are. Meaning? This weekend's
Shabbat, we will have the power to remove all negativity of what is
not pure within me, that is, when my "me" comes before everything
else. There is a residue of the Opponent still holding onto us. This
week we can break that. Break the part of us that wants the Light for
ourselves and not to spread it. Today, Monday, there is still the
energy of Purim - they're still celebrating in Israel - we can tap
into it. It is also the 15th day of the month of adar which also makes it a
very powerful time. Make a decision today and nothing can enter but
you have to do the work. You want to do the spiritual work (scan Zohar, make
connections,..) in a way that puts you in a place where you cannot
believe that you have such a merit / blessing, appreciation,awe.. to be able to be
involved in such a work while at same time believing in your strength, power to create,
knowledge that a spark of the Light is within you. The Opponent wants
to hold us in two ways: (1) Guilt - I am nobody / nothing / zero and (2) Ego - How amazing I am,
great person,talented.
We must feel like we are a pure spark of the Light but, on the other hand, we are just dust / nobody.
If we always do things in these two ways, Satan cannot be a part of it. If you do either/or, he will get you.
We need to have purification of really doing the work. Be in two
places. Be excited.

Weekly Zohar Portion- Tetzaveh
Tetzaveh Volume 12 Verse 86
The words of Torah become clear only there and the only light is that which comes out of the darkness. When this side is subdued, the Holy One, blessed be He, rises, and His glory becomes greater. There is no service of the Holy One, blessed be He, except from out of darkness and no good except from out of evil. When a person enters the evil way and then leaves it, the Holy One, blessed be He, rises in His glory. Therefore, overall perfection is good and evil together and rising to the good afterward. The only good is good that emerges from evil, and through this good the glory OF THE HOLY ONE, BLESSED BE HE, is elevated. This is perfect service.
In this section the Zohar tells us that even though we all would love just to be in that positive mood, that positive mindset, that unstoppable positivity to help us to help others, to help us to get rid of negativity, to help us to make dreams happen, to help us to manifest our huge dreams that we all have … the Zohar tells us that the way that we do the biggest service to the Creator {and service means the way that we will reveal the most Light in this world} is by connecting to positivity or to goodness—but by going through the evil … through the darkness ... through the difficulties … through the limitations … through the selfishness and the egos.
This is a lesson that throughout the Zohar comes back again and again and again. I want again to reawaken an important word which we all have to have in our consciousness, and that word is: Opportunity.
We are so caught up with the belief system that exists in our head that tells us that evil, difficulties, challenges are bad. “Run away from it. It is bad!”
What the Zohar tells us is that it is NOT bad. It is bad if it controls us. But it is an opportunity to reveal the biggest amount of Light.
That consciousness of opportunity is lacking in our life. Even with Kabbalah … I can tell you that for myself, as a teacher and after a lot of studying – even I can be caught up again with the consciousness of, “Okay, negativity; I want to get rid of it and overcome it, and I would like to be back into the positive place.” But, no! What the Zohar tells us is, “No.”
It is in those moments when we fall into jealousy, those moments when we fall into ego, those moments when we fall into hurt, those moments when we fall into judgment, those moments when somebody who is dear to us hurts us … in those moments we have a HUGE opportunity to reveal more Light.
We need to awaken that belief system that our soul has: It is an opportunity; it is not just bad and we need to get rid of that challenge. It is an opportunity. Going through it is an opportunity. Going through it. Going through the tough challenge. And really it is an opportunity ... an opportunity to reveal more Light.
It is really how we look at this. Do we look at this as just a challenge that we need to overcome and to push away … or do we look at this as an opportunity to reveal a greater amount of blessings in our personal life and in the world?
The whole idea is looking at things as opportunities, which is so essential. There are difficulties. As the Zohar says: Without the darkness, we will never be able to get Light. I am not talking about just difficult challenges outside.
If we have done something horrible and stupid that we are so ashamed about and we so regret, and we wish we would never have done it … part of our ego cannot stand ourselves not being righteous and not doing the right thing and being judged for it … but our ego right away jumps to the conclusion that because we have done something bad, we are not going to be liked, and it will take so long to fix it … and right away we look at the dark picture instead of the opportunity.
Darkness – even the darkness that we have created ourselves – is opportunity. It is an opportunity whereby as we are shifting in the midst of darkness, shifting to the good path, shifting to learn our lessons, then we are creating a new reality and bigger miracles. “Yes, but it is horrible. I will be judged for it.” Yeah, we might be judged for it; nevertheless, we should not lose the consciousness of opportunity.
In every situation—and it can be a person who is about to be bad, it can be a person who just heard horrible news about cancer, it can be a person who just did the most horrible thing to somebody and hurt that person so much that they do not know how they will ever repair it – even to the degree that that person says (s)he will never forgive them … and it is so painful and hurtful—we are not going to skip the painful process and fix it right away – just to know that that painful process or that bad news is darkness that leads towards Light.
It is ALWAYS … not sometimes. NOT sometimes. It is ALWAYS! And that Light … I am not going to promise you how that Light will be. It is possible for some people that the Light will be after death. They will experience huge growing experiences, being in heaven, being in a different state of consciousness, being an angel.
I am not promising how that good will manifest itself … but … every darkness is a doorway to Light. EVERY darkness: The bad things we have done, the bad things happening to us … and we have free choice. We DO have free choice. It does not matter how bad a situation is; we DO have a free choice that we stop exercising because things seem to be too bad … because we are allowing the cassette and the belief system that “it is bad” to give us all the movies instead of saying, “One second; what free choice do I have here?”
Some of the free choice is creating a better future in our own mind – just seeing the Light after the darkness in our imagination – we might not feel it right away, and it is not logical, but the fact that we are imagining things that our ego does not let us imagine means that we are practicing free choice. We are freeing ourselves from the belief system that dark means dark. What I am saying is that the real belief system is that darkness is a doorway to Light.
So in the midst of this darkness, we need to reach a place in our soul where we can imagine Light. We need to reach a place in our soul where we can imagine or try to love in the midst of it. We need to try to inject real meaningful emotions of loving somebody. “How can I? I am worried about my own future. How can I love?”
We all have the power within us … to inject love, to inject acceptance, to inject certainty, to see a better future, to imagine greater realities, to become closer to somebody, to know that we are growing, to become hopeful. All those emotions of the soul that during the time of darkness our ego does not let us have … we need to inject that computer of the soul in the midst of those moments. That is what the Zohar tells us.
The faster and more energetic our injection of this different reality, the reality that darkness is just a doorway for Light, the faster the process of pain will be, and the faster the miracles that we will experience.
Darkness is a doorway for Light.
The darkness that we injected when we are waking up from it … or the darkness that comes from the outside towards us.
BENJAMIN MALUL LECTURE FROM 2007:
Good evening everyone. Before we start with tonight’s lecture on the portion, let us prepare ourselves to have the right consciousness to receive the information. The first time we hear something we tend to question it, react to what we hear, not knowing if it is right, accurate. Whatever is going on in our head is how we receive the information. When we hear new information immediately there is a reaction in our brains. Things that our going on in our heads, events that are going on in our lives tend to color the lesson we receive. So as we prepare ourselves to receive the lesson tonight, in order to receive much more than we think we can, try not to immediately react to any of the lesson. Instead try to observe the lesson and get a deeper understanding. This is a tool to better understanding. Remove reaction. Empty yourself and receive the information as it is the first time ever hearing it.
We open ourselves so our consciousness can receive the energy that is currently available in the cosmos. The Zohar helps us to decode the Torah, the Five Books of Moses. We know that it is not the story, but it is an energy that in a way to teleport ourselves to a different dimension. This does not mean going to some different planet, but changing our mind frame. Learn to take the energy, observe the energy and use it for our lives today.
The portion, Tetzaveh, continues the building of the Tabernacle in all the details. Moses was the architect for everything regarding it’s construction. The Mishcan, the Tabernacle, was a tool to channel and deliver the Light to the masses. The portion then goes on to give information about the high priest, the Kohen Gadol. The Kohen was an unique individual. The Kohen did not have, own anything of his own. He was a pure channel, whose only purpose in life was to serve.
This Shabbat, the Shabbat before Purim, is called Shabbat Zachor. We add a small part to the reading, a special Maftir, which is about the war to defeat the nation of Amalek. The Zohar tells us that Amalek is not really a nation , but a concealed truth about life. The word Amalek has the same numerical value as the Hebrew word for doubt. Words of the same numerical value have the same or connected meaning. So the real purpose is to learn how to defeat the war that is going on inside of ourselves to remove the doubt from our lives. This is an ongoing war. That is why it is so important to hear this week’s Torah portion. Remove the doubt in our lives, not blame others for what happens to us, and learn to believe that the tolls will work. We can also connect to the Kohen inside of ourselves so we can become servants for the Light.
From the time of Moses’ birth he is mentioned in every portion of the Torah except Tetzaveh. After the sin of the Golden Calf, Hashem decreed that all the Israelites should die. Moses protested and offered himself as a sacrifice so that the Israelites could live. (Inserted from the Kabbalistic bible): “ This may seem as a punishment, but the truth is we have more of Moses in this portion than in any other. The more physicality there is in anything, the less Light there is. Here, there is no physicality of Moses, so we are getting all of his Light.”
When we are saying things that we can learn, we mean the energy into which we can tap. It is energy that can enter into our systems, our bank accounts. It is a totality of energy that we can share, spread to others. If you are not tapping into that energy and spreading the energy what you are then sharing is your own Tikun, your own garbage. What you want to give is an ongoing flow of information, flow of wisdom, Light, a constant happiness. Otherwise you are just giving to others your own little selfish place that is trying to get energy. It is an ongoing reminder as to what you want to give to others.
This weeks lesson is to learn how to give, spread the Light without the interference of our ego, to channel the Light to others. We studied sections 4, 55, 75 and 61.
Section 4:
How to become a pure channel. The craftsmen who worked on the Tabernacle did not know how to do everything. What they did know was how to become a pure channel. It is not about what we know, but about how to use what we know, how to let it flow thru us and share with others. The portion starts “V’ata.” The Hebrew word for “and you” which is spelled, Vuv, Aleph, Tauf, Hey. This is the secret. We say this during our connections, “From Aleph to Tauf, to Hey, Malchut.” In the Hebrew alphabet Aleph is the first letter and Tauf is the last letter. So we are saying from a to z. The letter Hey represents Malchut. Thus we are bring all the energy, from a to z, down to manifest in our physical world, Malchut.
The physical world is not negative. Everything in the physical world is a channel for the Light and it is to be appreciated as such. If you think the physical world is negative, then there is nothing you can use to channel the Light. Everything becomes an obstacle instead of an instrument of the Light.
When you start at zero and complete a project at the end, you geta feeling of accomplishment. You are connecting the Light and the Vessel.
The Vuv represents Zeir Anpin, the spiritual dimensions above Malchut and the three upper dimensions. The Vuv is the first letter, the seed level, of the portion. This is giving us the opportunity to channel the Light from Zeir Anpin.
The workers on the Tabernacle could not just do the job. Moses channeled the Light for the craftsmen and they were able to do the job when they received the wholly spirit and the wholly spirit moved them.
Likewise we do not want to disturb the Light by bringing our own system into the situation. We want to bring the pure Light, unencumbered by any part of me into the physical world.
There are tow situations. One is always acting to restrict. The problem here is that you are pushing back against the Light and not letting the Light in. The other way is to become a channel: let the Light flow thru you without the injection of the “Me,” with no disturbance to stop the energy. Just let the energy flow. Then problems and situations will be easily solved. The answer is just there because it is brought by the Light. You have no idea how you solved the problem. What appeared to be hard is easy. The goal is to connect to the endless in an endless way.
The Hebrew word for channel is “Tzinor,” Tsadik, Nun, Yud, Resh. Rearranging the letters to Resh, Tsadik, Yud, Nun, you spell “Ratsone,” the Hebrew word for desire. In order to channel the Light you must have a desire to receive. Ask for only me and you become a vessel. Ask for the sake of sharing and you become a pipe with on open bottom so everything flows thru you.
If you restrict and you see nothing to distribute to others, you are restricting the flow of the Light. You need to restrict in a different manner. The restriction is to look at the situation with a different point of view. As you see, you need to deliver. Without any entitlement as nothing in this world belongs to you. When you hold onto something, you cannot be a channel. You are closed and have become a vessel. A vessel is always limited in the amount it can receive. A channel allows endless flow of energy. Channels are endless, vessels are limited. Nothing around you can grow if you do not act as a channel, spreading the Light, nourishing those you. Then you receive an unlimited reward.
Usually rejection causes us not to become a channel. When we open our hearts and feel rejection our reaction is to close our hearts. Rejection is the Light telling you, you are going in the wrong direction. The Light is telling you that you must take a different approach, go in a different direction to meet your goals. When things always happen to you in the same way it is a message from the Light to wake up.
Being a channel is to take a risk. Seeing the rejection as a sign for the Light and change. Become a channel in everything you do in the day. Constantly ask yourself, “How can I remove my agenda in everything I do?”
Section 55:
Anger removes all the good deeds you have done in your life. Anger is a very deadly weapon. When people get angry they can either internalize the anger or show it. Anger is energy stimulation. We need stimulation in this reality. When you internalize the anger, it sucks all the sparks of Light from your DNA. We all have belief systems and when things do not go our way we get upset. We must change our belief systems. We need to identify what in our belief system triggers our anger. Instead of receiving energy and stimulation from anger we must change and receive the energy the Light is offering us. We must realize that the Light is always there to give us, we just need to be open.
Section 75:
This section connects us to Pesach. Matzah is unleavened bread. It does not rise. It is devoid of the Ego. Matzah’s perfection is that it has no desire to receive for the self alone. It is complete circuitry without the Ego. The Ego is always looking to grow, magnify itself. The Ego is about the desire to receive for the self alone. The Ego does not trust in the Light.
We must learn to have blind faith. The ability to jump into the unknown because we trust in the Light to guide and direct us. Simple faith is the ability to make the leap. If I want to connect to the pure energy, I must first reduce my Ego as much as possible.
Section 61:
We remove the mask in Purim so we can escape from our prisons during Pesach. There are steps in our recognition system:
Mask
Emptiness/Pain
Tikun/Klipot
Soul/Light/Diamond
(The mask covers our emptiness that is painful so we must deal with our Tikun by removing the Klipot to reach our Soul, enlighten the diamond within us).
There are many levels we want to break thru. We must not create different masks that guard us from revealing our true selves. We are always putting on different masks: success, victimhood, doubt, intellectual superiority, playing dumb. Masks hide a level of emptiness. They cover those uncomfortable places and hide our fear of exposure. When you put on a mask you do not need to deal with anyone. We do not want to admit our weaknesses, failure, so we cover up. When I have a mask, I do not need to explain my fears.
Without any doubt, we are strong enough to deal with everything that comes our way. We have all the tools we need to handle all the obstacles. We need to find the unlimited that is inside of us. Nothing comes from outside sources. We need to get to our diamond.
Purim is the tool to remove the masks in preparation for Pesach. First we need to identify the mask. The Amalek, the doubt within us, must be transformed into receiving for the sake of sharing. Every bit of the Amalek must be removed, transformed. Most of us are mostly Amalek.
How many levels of our consciousness within us are connected to the desire to receive for the self alone. How much time do we spend thinking about sharing the Light? If everything inside us is for the sake of sharing then there is no problem. How do we defeat the Amalek, doubt? We need to trust the Light, have certainty in the Light.
On Purim we drink to lose complete consciousness. If I have any aspect of doubt, receiving for the self alone, I need to go to the level where that doubt is melted, the Golem. Melt the consciousness and rebuild without the doubt, without the desire to receive for the self alone. We need to tap into the 50th gate of Binah, the storehouse of all the Light, positive energy.
At Purim we read the Magillah of Esther. This is the revealing the concealed, removing the doubt in our lives. We can then enter a different realm, level of understanding.
Love and Light
The words of Torah become clear only there and the only light is that which comes out of the darkness. When this side is subdued, the Holy One, blessed be He, rises, and His glory becomes greater. There is no service of the Holy One, blessed be He, except from out of darkness and no good except from out of evil.

Mon 2/22/10 Malul Call
This week is the time to remove our many masks. Before we get to Purim
and bond with the Light, we have to remove our masks. Kabbalists say
that the time will come when each one of us has to stand face to face
with the Light. Ask yourself now, how many people really know you? How
many people in your life really know who you are? Do you allow others
to see who you are? Who do you see when you look in the mirror?
Looking back, how many of us can say we are not ashamed of any day
that we have lived? Can we say that every day of our lives we have
revealed Light and is a day we are proud of? Most of our days are not
as pure as we want it to be. not all the days that we have lived come up
before the Light, only the ones that had light and revelations.
The Opponent shows us empty places within us where we are feeling a
void / lack then we start having doubts, negativity. This causes us to
have evil tongue - speaking lies about ourselves and others.
This week we have the opportunity to remove our masks, see ourselves
as we really are and connect to who we really are. Take
responsibility. If you have nothing good to say about others then say
nothing. Remove the noise, shut down the noise inside your head. Ask
yourself: if I am facing the Light right now, what kind of human being
am I / do I want to be? Do I have days of happiness / excitement? Do I
only have days where I am connecting to myself?
Take the opportunity from now to inject consciousness in everything
you do or say. Have at least one moment in the day when you are
revealing Light.
