Weekly Zohar Portion- Tetzaveh

Tetzaveh Volume 12 Verse 86

The words of Torah become clear only there and the only light is that which comes out of the darkness. When this side is subdued, the Holy One, blessed be He, rises, and His glory becomes greater. There is no service of the Holy One, blessed be He, except from out of darkness and no good except from out of evil. When a person enters the evil way and then leaves it, the Holy One, blessed be He, rises in His glory. Therefore, overall perfection is good and evil together and rising to the good afterward. The only good is good that emerges from evil, and through this good the glory OF THE HOLY ONE, BLESSED BE HE, is elevated. This is perfect service.

In this section the Zohar tells us that even though we all would love just to be in that positive mood, that positive mindset, that unstoppable positivity to help us to help others, to help us to get rid of negativity, to help us to make dreams happen, to help us to manifest our huge dreams that we all have … the Zohar tells us that the way that we do the biggest service to the Creator {and service means the way that we will reveal the most Light in this world} is by connecting to positivity or to goodness—but by going through the evil … through the darkness ... through the difficulties … through the limitations … through the selfishness and the egos.

This is a lesson that throughout the Zohar comes back again and again and again. I want again to reawaken an important word which we all have to have in our consciousness, and that word is: Opportunity.

We are so caught up with the belief system that exists in our head that tells us that evil, difficulties, challenges are bad. “Run away from it. It is bad!”

What the Zohar tells us is that it is NOT bad. It is bad if it controls us. But it is an opportunity to reveal the biggest amount of Light.

That consciousness of opportunity is lacking in our life. Even with Kabbalah … I can tell you that for myself, as a teacher and after a lot of studying – even I can be caught up again with the consciousness of, “Okay, negativity; I want to get rid of it and overcome it, and I would like to be back into the positive place.” But, no! What the Zohar tells us is, “No.”

It is in those moments when we fall into jealousy, those moments when we fall into ego, those moments when we fall into hurt, those moments when we fall into judgment, those moments when somebody who is dear to us hurts us … in those moments we have a HUGE opportunity to reveal more Light.

We need to awaken that belief system that our soul has: It is an opportunity; it is not just bad and we need to get rid of that challenge. It is an opportunity. Going through it is an opportunity. Going through it. Going through the tough challenge. And really it is an opportunity ... an opportunity to reveal more Light.

It is really how we look at this. Do we look at this as just a challenge that we need to overcome and to push away … or do we look at this as an opportunity to reveal a greater amount of blessings in our personal life and in the world?

The whole idea is looking at things as opportunities, which is so essential. There are difficulties. As the Zohar says: Without the darkness, we will never be able to get Light. I am not talking about just difficult challenges outside.

If we have done something horrible and stupid that we are so ashamed about and we so regret, and we wish we would never have done it … part of our ego cannot stand ourselves not being righteous and not doing the right thing and being judged for it … but our ego right away jumps to the conclusion that because we have done something bad, we are not going to be liked, and it will take so long to fix it … and right away we look at the dark picture instead of the opportunity.

Darkness – even the darkness that we have created ourselves – is opportunity. It is an opportunity whereby as we are shifting in the midst of darkness, shifting to the good path, shifting to learn our lessons, then we are creating a new reality and bigger miracles. “Yes, but it is horrible. I will be judged for it.” Yeah, we might be judged for it; nevertheless, we should not lose the consciousness of opportunity.

In every situation—and it can be a person who is about to be bad, it can be a person who just heard horrible news about cancer, it can be a person who just did the most horrible thing to somebody and hurt that person so much that they do not know how they will ever repair it – even to the degree that that person says (s)he will never forgive them … and it is so painful and hurtful—we are not going to skip the painful process and fix it right away – just to know that that painful process or that bad news is darkness that leads towards Light.

It is ALWAYS … not sometimes. NOT sometimes. It is ALWAYS! And that Light … I am not going to promise you how that Light will be. It is possible for some people that the Light will be after death. They will experience huge growing experiences, being in heaven, being in a different state of consciousness, being an angel.

I am not promising how that good will manifest itself … but … every darkness is a doorway to Light. EVERY darkness: The bad things we have done, the bad things happening to us … and we have free choice. We DO have free choice. It does not matter how bad a situation is; we DO have a free choice that we stop exercising because things seem to be too bad … because we are allowing the cassette and the belief system that “it is bad” to give us all the movies instead of saying, “One second; what free choice do I have here?”

Some of the free choice is creating a better future in our own mind – just seeing the Light after the darkness in our imagination – we might not feel it right away, and it is not logical, but the fact that we are imagining things that our ego does not let us imagine means that we are practicing free choice. We are freeing ourselves from the belief system that dark means dark. What I am saying is that the real belief system is that darkness is a doorway to Light.

So in the midst of this darkness, we need to reach a place in our soul where we can imagine Light. We need to reach a place in our soul where we can imagine or try to love in the midst of it. We need to try to inject real meaningful emotions of loving somebody. “How can I? I am worried about my own future. How can I love?”

We all have the power within us … to inject love, to inject acceptance, to inject certainty, to see a better future, to imagine greater realities, to become closer to somebody, to know that we are growing, to become hopeful. All those emotions of the soul that during the time of darkness our ego does not let us have … we need to inject that computer of the soul in the midst of those moments. That is what the Zohar tells us.

The faster and more energetic our injection of this different reality, the reality that darkness is just a doorway for Light, the faster the process of pain will be, and the faster the miracles that we will experience.

Darkness is a doorway for Light.

The darkness that we injected when we are waking up from it … or the darkness that comes from the outside towards us.

BENJAMIN MALUL LECTURE FROM 2007:

Good evening everyone. Before we start with tonight’s lecture on the portion, let us prepare ourselves to have the right consciousness to receive the information. The first time we hear something we tend to question it, react to what we hear, not knowing if it is right, accurate. Whatever is going on in our head is how we receive the information. When we hear new information immediately there is a reaction in our brains. Things that our going on in our heads, events that are going on in our lives tend to color the lesson we receive. So as we prepare ourselves to receive the lesson tonight, in order to receive much more than we think we can, try not to immediately react to any of the lesson. Instead try to observe the lesson and get a deeper understanding. This is a tool to better understanding. Remove reaction. Empty yourself and receive the information as it is the first time ever hearing it.

We open ourselves so our consciousness can receive the energy that is currently available in the cosmos. The Zohar helps us to decode the Torah, the Five Books of Moses. We know that it is not the story, but it is an energy that in a way to teleport ourselves to a different dimension. This does not mean going to some different planet, but changing our mind frame. Learn to take the energy, observe the energy and use it for our lives today.

The portion, Tetzaveh, continues the building of the Tabernacle in all the details. Moses was the architect for everything regarding it’s construction. The Mishcan, the Tabernacle, was a tool to channel and deliver the Light to the masses. The portion then goes on to give information about the high priest, the Kohen Gadol. The Kohen was an unique individual. The Kohen did not have, own anything of his own. He was a pure channel, whose only purpose in life was to serve.

This Shabbat, the Shabbat before Purim, is called Shabbat Zachor. We add a small part to the reading, a special Maftir, which is about the war to defeat the nation of Amalek. The Zohar tells us that Amalek is not really a nation , but a concealed truth about life. The word Amalek has the same numerical value as the Hebrew word for doubt. Words of the same numerical value have the same or connected meaning. So the real purpose is to learn how to defeat the war that is going on inside of ourselves to remove the doubt from our lives. This is an ongoing war. That is why it is so important to hear this week’s Torah portion. Remove the doubt in our lives, not blame others for what happens to us, and learn to believe that the tolls will work. We can also connect to the Kohen inside of ourselves so we can become servants for the Light.

From the time of Moses’ birth he is mentioned in every portion of the Torah except Tetzaveh. After the sin of the Golden Calf, Hashem decreed that all the Israelites should die. Moses protested and offered himself as a sacrifice so that the Israelites could live. (Inserted from the Kabbalistic bible): “ This may seem as a punishment, but the truth is we have more of Moses in this portion than in any other. The more physicality there is in anything, the less Light there is. Here, there is no physicality of Moses, so we are getting all of his Light.”

When we are saying things that we can learn, we mean the energy into which we can tap. It is energy that can enter into our systems, our bank accounts. It is a totality of energy that we can share, spread to others. If you are not tapping into that energy and spreading the energy what you are then sharing is your own Tikun, your own garbage. What you want to give is an ongoing flow of information, flow of wisdom, Light, a constant happiness. Otherwise you are just giving to others your own little selfish place that is trying to get energy. It is an ongoing reminder as to what you want to give to others.

This weeks lesson is to learn how to give, spread the Light without the interference of our ego, to channel the Light to others. We studied sections 4, 55, 75 and 61.

Section 4:

How to become a pure channel. The craftsmen who worked on the Tabernacle did not know how to do everything. What they did know was how to become a pure channel. It is not about what we know, but about how to use what we know, how to let it flow thru us and share with others. The portion starts “V’ata.” The Hebrew word for “and you” which is spelled, Vuv, Aleph, Tauf, Hey. This is the secret. We say this during our connections, “From Aleph to Tauf, to Hey, Malchut.” In the Hebrew alphabet Aleph is the first letter and Tauf is the last letter. So we are saying from a to z. The letter Hey represents Malchut. Thus we are bring all the energy, from a to z, down to manifest in our physical world, Malchut.

The physical world is not negative. Everything in the physical world is a channel for the Light and it is to be appreciated as such. If you think the physical world is negative, then there is nothing you can use to channel the Light. Everything becomes an obstacle instead of an instrument of the Light.

When you start at zero and complete a project at the end, you geta feeling of accomplishment. You are connecting the Light and the Vessel.

The Vuv represents Zeir Anpin, the spiritual dimensions above Malchut and the three upper dimensions. The Vuv is the first letter, the seed level, of the portion. This is giving us the opportunity to channel the Light from Zeir Anpin.

The workers on the Tabernacle could not just do the job. Moses channeled the Light for the craftsmen and they were able to do the job when they received the wholly spirit and the wholly spirit moved them.

Likewise we do not want to disturb the Light by bringing our own system into the situation. We want to bring the pure Light, unencumbered by any part of me into the physical world.

There are tow situations. One is always acting to restrict. The problem here is that you are pushing back against the Light and not letting the Light in. The other way is to become a channel: let the Light flow thru you without the injection of the “Me,” with no disturbance to stop the energy. Just let the energy flow. Then problems and situations will be easily solved. The answer is just there because it is brought by the Light. You have no idea how you solved the problem. What appeared to be hard is easy. The goal is to connect to the endless in an endless way.

The Hebrew word for channel is “Tzinor,” Tsadik, Nun, Yud, Resh. Rearranging the letters to Resh, Tsadik, Yud, Nun, you spell “Ratsone,” the Hebrew word for desire. In order to channel the Light you must have a desire to receive. Ask for only me and you become a vessel. Ask for the sake of sharing and you become a pipe with on open bottom so everything flows thru you.

If you restrict and you see nothing to distribute to others, you are restricting the flow of the Light. You need to restrict in a different manner. The restriction is to look at the situation with a different point of view. As you see, you need to deliver. Without any entitlement as nothing in this world belongs to you. When you hold onto something, you cannot be a channel. You are closed and have become a vessel. A vessel is always limited in the amount it can receive. A channel allows endless flow of energy. Channels are endless, vessels are limited. Nothing around you can grow if you do not act as a channel, spreading the Light, nourishing those you. Then you receive an unlimited reward.

Usually rejection causes us not to become a channel. When we open our hearts and feel rejection our reaction is to close our hearts. Rejection is the Light telling you, you are going in the wrong direction. The Light is telling you that you must take a different approach, go in a different direction to meet your goals. When things always happen to you in the same way it is a message from the Light to wake up.

Being a channel is to take a risk. Seeing the rejection as a sign for the Light and change. Become a channel in everything you do in the day. Constantly ask yourself, “How can I remove my agenda in everything I do?”

Section 55:

Anger removes all the good deeds you have done in your life. Anger is a very deadly weapon. When people get angry they can either internalize the anger or show it. Anger is energy stimulation. We need stimulation in this reality. When you internalize the anger, it sucks all the sparks of Light from your DNA. We all have belief systems and when things do not go our way we get upset. We must change our belief systems. We need to identify what in our belief system triggers our anger. Instead of receiving energy and stimulation from anger we must change and receive the energy the Light is offering us. We must realize that the Light is always there to give us, we just need to be open.

Section 75:

This section connects us to Pesach. Matzah is unleavened bread. It does not rise. It is devoid of the Ego. Matzah’s perfection is that it has no desire to receive for the self alone. It is complete circuitry without the Ego. The Ego is always looking to grow, magnify itself. The Ego is about the desire to receive for the self alone. The Ego does not trust in the Light.

We must learn to have blind faith. The ability to jump into the unknown because we trust in the Light to guide and direct us. Simple faith is the ability to make the leap. If I want to connect to the pure energy, I must first reduce my Ego as much as possible.

Section 61:

We remove the mask in Purim so we can escape from our prisons during Pesach. There are steps in our recognition system:

Mask

Emptiness/Pain

Tikun/Klipot

Soul/Light/Diamond

(The mask covers our emptiness that is painful so we must deal with our Tikun by removing the Klipot to reach our Soul, enlighten the diamond within us).

There are many levels we want to break thru. We must not create different masks that guard us from revealing our true selves. We are always putting on different masks: success, victimhood, doubt, intellectual superiority, playing dumb. Masks hide a level of emptiness. They cover those uncomfortable places and hide our fear of exposure. When you put on a mask you do not need to deal with anyone. We do not want to admit our weaknesses, failure, so we cover up. When I have a mask, I do not need to explain my fears.

Without any doubt, we are strong enough to deal with everything that comes our way. We have all the tools we need to handle all the obstacles. We need to find the unlimited that is inside of us. Nothing comes from outside sources. We need to get to our diamond.

Purim is the tool to remove the masks in preparation for Pesach. First we need to identify the mask. The Amalek, the doubt within us, must be transformed into receiving for the sake of sharing. Every bit of the Amalek must be removed, transformed. Most of us are mostly Amalek.

How many levels of our consciousness within us are connected to the desire to receive for the self alone. How much time do we spend thinking about sharing the Light? If everything inside us is for the sake of sharing then there is no problem. How do we defeat the Amalek, doubt? We need to trust the Light, have certainty in the Light.

On Purim we drink to lose complete consciousness. If I have any aspect of doubt, receiving for the self alone, I need to go to the level where that doubt is melted, the Golem. Melt the consciousness and rebuild without the doubt, without the desire to receive for the self alone. We need to tap into the 50th gate of Binah, the storehouse of all the Light, positive energy.

At Purim we read the Magillah of Esther. This is the revealing the concealed, removing the doubt in our lives. We can then enter a different realm, level of understanding.

Love and Light

Mon 2/22/10 Malul Call

This week is the time to remove our many masks. Before we get to Purim
and bond with the Light, we have to remove our masks. Kabbalists say
that the time will come when each one of us has to stand face to face
with the Light. Ask yourself now, how many people really know you? How
many people in your life really know who you are? Do you allow others
to see who you are? Who do you see when you look in the mirror?

Looking back, how many of us can say we are not ashamed of any day
that we have lived? Can we say that every day of our lives we have
revealed Light and is a day we are proud of? Most of our days are not
as pure as we want it to be. not all the days that we have lived come up
before the Light, only the ones that had light and revelations.

The Opponent shows us empty places within us where we are feeling a
void / lack then we start having doubts, negativity. This causes us to
have evil tongue - speaking lies about ourselves and others.

This week we have the opportunity to remove our masks, see ourselves
as we really are and connect to who we really are. Take
responsibility. If you have nothing good to say about others then say
nothing. Remove the noise, shut down the noise inside your head. Ask
yourself: if I am facing the Light right now, what kind of human being
am I / do I want to be? Do I have days of happiness / excitement? Do I
only have days where I am connecting to myself?

Take the opportunity from now to inject consciousness in everything
you do or say. Have at least one moment in the day when you are
revealing Light.

Trumah 2/20/10

Trumah – Volume 11 Verse 39
How do we know that the Holy One, blessed be He, wants him and places His dwelling place in him? IT IS when we see that the desire of the person IS to endeavor to pursue the Holy One, blessed be He, with his heart and soul and desire. We are certain then that the Shechinah dwells there. Then we should pay in full to befriend him and to learn from him. About this, the ancients said, “… and acquire for yourself a friend.” You must buy him for a full price in order to merit the Shechinah THAT DWELLS IN HIM. This is how far it is necessary to pursue a righteous man and purchase him.

Here the Zohar speaks about how to know who truly carries the Shechinah, which is the Light Force of the Creator, within him; a person, when we see that the person possesses the Light, we need to run after and connect to and study from and be around.

First we need to address the whole concept of the ultimate goal. The ultimate goal, as we have learned, is that teachers will no longer exist; everybody will connect; everybody will have a total awareness – without curtains – of the Light of the Creator, of all the teachings, of all the wisdom. No more curtains and blockages. We will see everything clearly and, as a result, we will tune into the Laws of the Universe; we will tune into that reality we call the Tree of Life reality where nothing is bad and there is only good: Heaven on Earth. That is the ultimate goal—and we will not need any teachers, any assistance, any bridges.

Nevertheless, until we get to that point, since we all came from one soul, we all came to this world to assist each other. There are always poor and rich, wise and less wise, powerful and powerless. In many areas in life we actually all complete each other with our piece of the puzzle … until we reach the critical mass when we will all be able to connect.

Until that time, we do need to search and to look for somebody who—just by being in his midst, being around him—can inspire and awaken our consciousness … not that we are going to receive the Light through that person or that simply being around that person will help us to connect and to plug in to a higher way of thinking.

It is also asking how we will know that that person really can be an inspiration for us. The Zohar teaches that it is when we see a person who runs and craves after the connection to the Light of the Creator, when we see that person who truly desires and craves and nothing stops him from getting to that connection (and if he gets that connection, he will run after another and another).

The indication that a person is truly connected is not because he is sitting and has a wise face, and not because he appears smart and he has so much information. It is to look at his level of craving and looking for the deeper connection and the higher goal, and effecting more change, and touching more people, and he is never satiated. He is looking for the next level and the next level and the next level.

Take Rav and Karen Berg as an example. They were and still are unstoppable. And it does not matter how many people they have changed, how many lives they have touched; there is always that craving, “How can we touch more? How can we affect more?” And at the same time, to this day they take pause, in a state of wonder about the amazing Light and energy—like a little kid, for the first time.

That is our problem. Often when we just do things because we have been exposed for the first time to spirituality, we are amazed: “Wow! What a connection!” But do we have the same type of excitement 20 years later? Do we crave another spark of Light from the same tool, from the same Ana Bekoach, from the same words of the Zohar, from the same meditation again and again? THAT is the indication of true craving.

We can also easily be misled by people around us because they appear smart and wise. Are they truly looking for the opportunity to grow, to change, to do more, to touch more, to have bigger goals?

So, that is the concept of getting closer and doing everything in our power. It says that we have to pay any price, but it means that we have to make any effort to get connected to a person like this. The Zohar is teaching about technology here—the technology of connecting to the Light by being around people who get it and crave it. It is not technology; it is another tool to be able to plug in.

But do we not teach in Kabbalah that it is all about “ME doing it by myself?” Yes, that is part of the technology. For me to do it by myself, I need to identify those people that by just being around them can help me to do it by myself even in a bigger level.

One of the indications that those people are real is that they do not need our appreciation or respect; they would actually rather not have it, because if they have any ego from it and satisfaction from it, then they are not truly craving growth, they are not truly craving transformation, and they are not truly craving effecting bigger change in the world. They need this little satisfaction, and that is an indication that they are not the right people.

It is also another technology to run after those who have a higher consciousness than we do. As a result, it will rub off on us and it will affect our consciousness.

Let’s take this week to look around us and see if we’re truly chasing and craving to be close to those kind of people. Let’s also take time to get closer to those types of souls. Even if my ego doesn’t want me to be around greatness, my soul does!

All the best

BENJAMIN MALUL’S 2007 CLASS IN LAS VEGAS:

The portion of Terumah begins with Hashem directing Moses to collect from the Israelites the required components for them to construct a Tabernacle in accordance to the directions given in the rest of the portion. “And they built a Tabernacle and I will dwell within them.” While we are given the instructions to build a Tabernacle in the physical world, what is discussed in the Zohar is the metaphysical building of the Tabernacle and the Temple within ourselves. The physical Tabernacle is a tool to draw energy into our physical world. The Tabernacle within us is the way for us to draw the Light of the Creator into our life. In order for us to have a Tabernacle, a Temple within us, we must have an open heart.

Once upon a time a man thought that he could fool the Kabbalist who lived in his village. He approached the Kabbalist with a live butterfly in his hand with the intention of asking the Kabbalist whether or not the butterfly was alive. If the Kabbalist would respond saying the Butterfly was alive, he would crush it in his hands and kill it. If the Kabbalist responded that the Butterfly was dead, then the man would release the live butterfly to fly away. The Kabbalist surprised the man by responding that the life of the butterfly was “In your Hands.”

The Kabbalist taught a very important, but simple lesson, the choice is ours. The choice whether we live a life full of Light or one full of chaos is ours to choose. If we choose the life full of Light we must build the Tabernacle inside ourselves. The key to constructing the Tabernacle within ourselves is opening our hearts. This is the theme of the lesson we learned: We choose the life we lead and if we choose the life of living in the Light we must open our heart.

To learn this lesson we studied sections 36-37, 38, 39, 41, 714-715 and 888 of the Zohar portion Trumah.

Sections 36-37:

If I want a true, real connection to the Light, I need to have an open heart. A lasting connection only occurs when you are using the three column system. An open heart is by definition the used of three column system. For you can only open your heart by applying restriction, thus connecting to the central column.

Any time I receive without making an effort, doing the work, it will be very hard to keep. Most likely I will lose what I have received. I will only have it temporarily. Even if it is a gift, will I be able to hold onto it? Few things last forever in the 1%. We tire of relationships. We put ends to everything. This is an indicator of the impure spirit within us. If we were pure we could tap into the eternal power within us and achieve the immortality that is there for us. We must pay the full price for everything in order to hold onto it. The impure spirit always is attached with something we get for free. We do not care for that item with the same care as when we earn that item. Things we receive without effort, without an open heart, we cannot hold onto. An open heart equals balance. Our biggest fear is the fear of losing what we have. The fear becomes a self-fulfilling prophesy. Empowering the fear takes you away from the Light of the Creator and you will lose it.

We need to have more people in our lives. A true effort needs to happen. Only when we make a true, full investment in life can we receive with an open heart and hold onto our gifts. The mind and heart must work together in order to properly receive and hold onto the things in our life. We can lose it in a second. Our heart can stop in a second.

Nothing in the 1% can bring the desired results. The real indicator is how much I am letting go of the ego. Work done on the 1% level will only yield results in the 1% reality, not in the 99%. An open heart is when you are really, truly happy for someone else’s success. How can I welcome more people in my life? When I want to build that real temple inside of myself. PLEASE take this seriously!! Everything that comes to us this month is to increase the goodness, happiness in my life. It doesn’t matter how it looks, it is ultimately for the good. It is constant work that yields permanent happiness and not just momentary pleasures.

Section 38:

Our heart is like the heart of the creator when we are doing, taking his actions. Why am I giving? Is it because I am told to do so, because I have obligated myself, because I have made a commitment? If you do not have the desire, joy and enthusiasm when giving, then no good will come from the giving. You need to have an endless desire to receive the endless, to hold onto your gifts.

How many people really change? How many truly build a balance within themselves? Few people really transform. If we have fear to open our heart then we will lead a life of chaos. There is no temple within. When there is a temple within people are attracted to our energy and we want people to come to us so we can nourish them.

Section 39:

Even when we lack of certainty, we must stay excited. When others are attempting to hurt me, I stay excited. Even if the excitement is not natural, act as if, fake it till you make it. Excitement expands your vessel and allows you to receive more Light. When you are not excited it is an indicator that you have broken the connection with the Light. Do not have guilt about not being excited. We need tremendous desire, excitement to change. I need to go all the way. I must be constantly excited.

When you see a person who is excited when they are going thru bad times, then you know the Light is with him. You want to be around this person, you need to around this person. You should pay whatever it takes to be with this person. We want to be busy with that person in order to gain the Light of the Shechinah. Hook yourself to that person, chase after him. Each and every one of us can excite each other.

Section 41:

This is one of the sections of the Zohar that is the foundation of the reason the Kabbalah Centre exists. When you hold a wicked person’s hand, you show him the path to the Light. Showing the person the way to connect to the Creator reveals the greatest amount of Light in the world. This gives you the ability to have the greatest amount of wealth. You can no longer be judged! You can enter any gate. You gain all the possible protection that there is available in this reality.

Strengthen the connection of the people around us. You cannot convince a person about the Light by talking, confrontation. You can only convince a person by showing them the Light. Show your enthusiasm, your excitement. You must learn how to deliver the message without coming across as preaching.

Pisces is the astrological sign that embodies harmony in communication. Use this energy in your relationships this month. We have the most trouble communicating with people who are closest to us.

There are two steps in properly communicating with people. First: Where am I coming from? Second: Where is the other person? Is that person really listening? Too often when we are attempting communication we are using our heads and not coming from our hearts. We are concerned with who is going to win the confrontation. This solves nothing! We all actually lose! There is no purpose in this communication. Maybe you will prove something, but it will not last.

What are you really trying to achieve in the communication? What is the purpose you are trying to accomplish? In order to have real communication you must learn to walk in the other person’s shoes. You need to understand what the other person needs for them to understand us, listen to us. We need to increase the love and care for others.

The Light wants to give us so much this month, so much more than we are looking to receive. The highest level, the level that reveals the greatest Light is to help someone else defeat his evil inclination. Remember you have merited the opportunity to be a part of the Centre.

Sections 714-715:

When I do not have happiness in my heart, I cannot connect with the Light. My actions are less effective.

When the owner of a restaurant, or the chef is angry, do not eat there. Their negative energy will infuse the food with negative energy.

Why are you not happy? You are choosing to disconnect from the Light. Learn to fake it until you make it. The only true happiness comes from the Light. You need to change your mood. No matter how difficult, beg for the Light of the Creator and become happy.

This month we have the opportunity to infuse happiness in the entire year.

Section 888:

Moses never died. He just moved to another dimension. When anybody “dies” it is only from our perspective. From the “dead” person’s perspective he is still alive.

The person has just disappeared from our view. Most of my fear is in disappearance. Nothing really disappears. When things seem to disappear to you it is because you are living in the 1% Nothing disappears in the 99%. When you have “lack” you are not connected to the 99%.

Everything in the universe is made of the same energy. Things are just in different phases. When you do not see the Light in everything is when Chaos comes into your life. If you do not ask where you are going, you are never going to get there. Do not waste time doing things without happiness.

Sat 2/13- New Moon Pisces

Notes from Benjamin from Twitter @malul

Rav says:If u r happy for no reason, the creator will give u good reason. If u are unhappy 4 no reason, the creator will give a good reason.

decide to be happy this month, no matter what!

month of Adar is infused with happiness because of Purim, just as one decision can make a huge difference in our lives. Decide 2 b happy!

The Rav says we feel true happiness only when we transform.

Falling is not a mistake - staying down is the mistake.

Mon 2/15/10

This is the new month of Adar - an exciting and happy time.

Specifically for this month, for this week, for Purim which is next
weekend, there are three points to think of:

1. One of the stories for this time explains that when the tabernacle
was built - the place of prayer - the history is that it was built
with gold inside and out. If it was covered on the outside with gold,
why is there gold on the inside? The importance relates to every
person's life, to understand that however it looks on the outside, it
must look on the inside. We cannot be concerned only with the outside.
That is the point of Purim, to remove the masks from the outside.

2. The story talks about the Candelabra that was built, how it was
built - from one solid metal. In our lives, we see things as
fragmented, but everything is built on one action. Everything is
connected. If we grow enough, we see that every decision we make today
or tomorrow gives results even if it is three years later. BE HAPPY NO
MATTER WHAT and the effect from this decision will manifest in your life.

3. The Creator said if you build a temple, He will dwell in it. The
temple is within you. We all have a vessel which is inside - internal
not outside - it is the heart. People in life have difficulties like
coming to a place where we need to make a decision and the mind cannot
function. We need to open our hearts and ask for help. We need to
recognize this week that our hearts are not open to help.

To summarize these points:

- First, we cannot live a fake reality. Inside and outside must be
connected. Outside cannot be fake and inside real.
- Second, everything is connected. Make a decision to be happy today as
every decision is connected so this decision will affect my life.
- Third, the vessel is in our heart. We begin with a thought in the mind
and it moves down to our heart. That's where everything manifests.Make the
decision to be happy for no reason and the Light will provide you with the reasons.

Mon 2/8/10

The key point for this week: REINCARNATION - most of us do not
understand the magnitude of Reincarnation. That requires more in-depth
discussion.

How can we start seeing things in our lives?
Most of us are not ready to see cause / effect in our lives - what we
cause to others, to ourselves. There is an energy that protects us
from seeing it so we won't get scared of what our actions cause. We
are so powerful, we don't know.

We praise and appreciate everything we receive in life when we receive
it. We must try to always see the good and the bad. As soon as I see
the good, I need to see that so much good comes because the Light
wants to share with us. It is easy to say "thanks" when we see /
receive the good. We want to get to where we see how negatively we
behave. If we want to draw gifts into our lives, we can't just see the
good that already happened and say "thank you". We want to see that we
are the cause by seeing how judgmental we are - not to put ourselves
down - but to see ourselves the way the Light sees us. If I can't see
it, then the Light that comes into my life is limited.

So there are two points from all this:

1. I realize that the only time I appreciate the Light is when I see
or receive a blessing in my life
2. I want to work up to the level where I realize the depth of my
negativity / how low I am and how low I think of others. The level
where I see how judgmental I am and my own power in being the cause.
To the degree that I see how far I am from the Light is how much the
Light wants to share with me.

The Light can share with us only when we see our negativity. The more
we see our negativity, the Light can expose us to our life's purpose
and what we need to do.

Mon 2/1/10

We are entering a time where we can listen relative to our own personal transformation.

The story of Pharoah's servant following the Israelites illustrates how one may have a connection to wealth and personal notoriety yet not connecting internally deems all of the external treasures temporary. He had all of the riches one can imagine yet realized that this was all fleeting without internal transformation.

This week's message is about:
1) Parting of the Red Sea (for us personally) and 2) Addressing Amalek- working against our evil inclinations and doubt.

Internal Amalek (Satan/ doubt) has one task- this is to make sure that we are not excited about spirituality. We are more intrigued with doing business deals (we feel more of a rush) than performing acts of sharing. We need to create excitement and awaken for the light to come in. We need to know that Satan/ Amalek's message is "It will not reveal light, so why don't you forget the sharing". Additionally Satan's message is "You deserve the recognition- strive for it". We need to establish a "point in the heart" and awaken light through recognizing the Amalek force.

Recap:
1) External life/ personal wealth is not lasting unless a person has addressed the internal war with Amalek. These fortunes have no continuity, will not remain unless we establish spirituality.
2) Awaken "Point in the Heart" and defeat Satan. When we see miracles around us it pushes us to do something- to become connected to awaken light.

Mon 1/25/10

This week we can connect to clarity based on the following events:
1) Tu Bishvat (festival of trees)
2) 72 Names of God
Miracles happen when we go outside of ourselves just as the tree grows against gravity.
Rav Ashlag shares this concept:
How does a person develop true faith? "Simple faith" is an easy belief in the Light. Even skeptics can be convinced of the existence of a higher power.

"Complete belief" is to achieve "Private supervision". This is where the angels are obeying us and helping us with our challenges. The hard part is staying with this when things do not work. We need to understand the payment and reward; the cause and effect; the fact that there are consequences to my actions.

It's our challenge to develop "Private Supervision" with the tools. With the 72 names knowing that I need to do work and create. Only then will I have miracles in my life and certainty about the Light.
